Michelle Obama is fashion’s newest darling. No one’s arguing with that. But did you also know she might be making an appearance at Fashion Week in NY? I say “might” because I’m not holding my breath. She may have more important things to do. Like State business.

If she does decide to show, people are hoping she’ll take a walk down the runway to benefit Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection show. Other celebs strutting their stuff include Katie Couric, Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman!), Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Nastia Liukin, and Hilary Duff.

Hmmm. Are these people insane? They’ve got Tori Spelling booked and they think they’re gonna score Michelle Obama? I don’t think so.

It’s a good cause and all, so I hope for their sake she makes a cameo, but get real. Spelling’s gonna have to do.
